Initiatives to develop products that are both functional and environmentally friendly
Natural Protection
Hemp material has natural antibacterial properties, and its fiber properties inhibit the growth of bacteria. The antibacterial effect also leads to an anti-odor effect, so you can wear it for a long time without odor and stay comfortable. In addition, hemp fiber has the function of blocking ultraviolet rays and has moisturizing properties, so you can expect it to protect your skin.
Cool and comfortable
Hemp, with its porous fiber structure, has excellent breathability and moisture control functions, and is quick-drying and moisturizing. It is highly breathable and easy to regulate body temperature, reducing stress caused by heat and making you feel cooler. In addition, even if you sweat, it dries quickly and does not leave a sticky feeling on the skin, so you can continue working in comfort all day.
Lightweight and durable
The lighter the clothes you wear all day at work, the less strain they put on your body and the more comfortable they will be. A typical scrub weighs around 235g for an L size, but sukui scrubs are 190g, about 19% lighter. This lightness means you won't feel any strain on your body even after working long hours. Hemp is also durable, so it is lightweight yet durable. It is both light and tough, making it the perfect clothes for your daily work.
Silky to the touch
The conventional hemp spinning method is called cotton spinning, in which hemp fibers are cut into small pieces and processed into cotton-like form using chemicals, but the next-generation hemp used by sukui adopts a new linen spinning method that takes advantage of the length of the fibers. This method brings out the inherent softness and luster of hemp, achieving a smooth feel and comfort like rayon or silk. The smooth feel reduces stress even when worn for long periods of time, reducing the work burden of medical workers and allowing them to stay comfortable.
Wearing the future of medical wear
sukui scrubs are designed with attention to detail and made of high-performance materials to provide medical workers with the ultimate comfort and reliability. They are both comfortable and durable, so you can stay comfortable even during long shifts. They are also environmentally friendly and sustainable wear.
Eco-friendly hemp material
Hemp is a material with a low environmental impact because it absorbs 9 to 15 tons of CO2 per hectare per year during cultivation and does not require the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. This characteristic reduces the burden on water resources and contributes to soil health. Recent research has also confirmed that hemp roots improve soil and help the growth of the next crop. In the EU's European Green Deal strategy, hemp is considered an important crop that contributes to climate change measures and biodiversity protection.
The hemp used in sukui products is highly environmentally friendly during its cultivation process, absorbing 13.7 tons of CO2 per hectare per year. The IQCC (※) was measured at 11.23 kg for the scrubs and 15.62 kg for the pants, which indicates how much CO2 the product absorbed during the cultivation stage. In addition, it is necessary to take into account the CO2 emissions caused by the energy used in the factory during the manufacturing process, but we are currently measuring it and will publish the results as soon as it is completed.
*IQCC (The initial quantity of carbon capture): The amount of CO2 absorbed during the cultivation of the hemp used in each product.
Garment dyeing for efficient resource use
In conventional clothing manufacturing, dyed fabric is prepared in large quantities and used to manufacture products. This method encourages mass production and mass consumption of products in order to sell off the fabric. As a result, products that cannot be sold become distribution inventory, resulting in unsold goods and a waste of resources. Furthermore, fabric from products that are not selling well is often discarded without being used, which places a heavy burden on the environment.
To prevent resource waste, sukui uses a garment dyeing process. This process involves cutting and sewing semi-bleached white fabric before dyeing, and then dyeing the product. This approach reduces unnecessary inventory and waste, and makes effective use of limited resources.
This piece-dyeing process sets a new standard for both the functionality healthcare professionals demand and environmental friendliness. sukui scrubs not only meet the rigorous demands of the medical field, but also promote the transition to sustainable fashion. We aim to contribute to a better future by providing products that consider the environmental impact while supporting healthcare professionals in their daily work.
